With Treyarch’s latest update as of Nov. 27th, 2018, in Blackout alone they brought back the Blightfather event, and finally brought in the long awaited character challenges for our beloved Primis Crew! In this article I’m going to explain how you can obtain these characters, and what you have to do enable to complete their challenges easily!
Note: You can obtain all of these items from the Blightfather. Since it’s a limited event I thought I’d mention it in the beginning.
Dempsey
Enable to begin Dempsey’s character challenge, you must first obtain the Juggernog Bottle item in game. You must do the following to be able to obtain the Juggernog Bottle:
- Underground in the Nuketown Island bunker, it will be laying on a shelf in the Kitchen / Dining Room area. Click here to see a screenshot of this location!
- Open a Mystery Box in any of the Mystery Box Locations, although, this is absolutely random. Click here to see a screenshot of this location!
Note: You can have more than one Juggernog Bottle in the game at once.
After you have obtained the Juggernog Bottle you must do the following:
Note #2: You can use any type of grenade to get the kill, including the Acid Bombs; Mesh Mines, Molotovs, and Wraith Fires do not count.
After doing what the challenges say, when you return to the lobby, you should unlock Dempsey as a playable Blackout character!
Takeo
Enable to begin Takeo’s character challenge, you must first obtain the Letter To The Emperor item in game. You must do the following to be able to obtain the Letter To The Emperor:
- Hold interact on the Typewriter in Asylum. Click here to see a screenshot of this location!
- Hold interact on the Typewriter in Boxing Gym. Click here to see a screenshot of this location!
- Hold the interact on the Typewriter in Lighthouse. Click here to see a screenshot of this location!
Notes: If you interact with a Typewriter and nothing happens, chances are that someone already got the note from that location, so either go find and kill that person, or just go to another location and interact with another Typewriter. You can obtain the Letter To The Emperor more than once per game.
Note #2: Sometimes the Typewriter doesn’t spawn.
After you have obtained the Letter To The Emperor, you must do the following:
Note #3: You can use healing supplies, but nothing else, no perks, no throwables; nothing but healing.
After doing what the challenges say, when you return to the lobby, you should unlock Takeo as a playable Blackout character!
Nikolai
Enable to begin Nikolai’s character challenge, you must first obtain the Russian Tanker Hat item in game. You must do the following to be able to obtain the Russian Tanker Hat:
- Go to the Cemetery next to Asylum, and obtain a Cymbal Monkey.
- At the Cemetery, throw the Cymbal Monkey at a gated grave site on the far left of the Cemetery. Click here to see a screenshot of this location!
- After the Cymbal Monkey explodes, walk into the grave site and pick up the hat. Click here to see a screenshot of this location!
Note: This can only be obtained once per game.
After you have obtained the Russian Tanker Hat, you must do the following:
After doing what the challenges say, when you return to the lobby, you should unlock Nikolai as a playable Blackout character!
Richtofen
Enable to begin Richtofen’s character challenge, you must first obtain the Blood Vial item in game. You must do the following to be able to obtain the Blood Vial:
- Obtain any item previously mentioned in this post and play the match as one of the Primis characters. Hold the interact button on the Blood Fountain in the middle of Asylum; this will automatically switch any previous Primis character item to the Blood Vial. Note: You can obtain the Blood Vial once per game.
Note #2: You MUST be playing as a Primis character enable to change the items at the fountain.
After you have obtained the Blood Vial, you must do the following:
After doing what the challenges say, when you return to the lobby, you should unlock Richtofen as a playable Blackout character!
